Overview:

The Canadians steamed onboard in a long line stretching from in front of the milk Factory all the way over to the Eastern side of the battleground. As they came they were met with German AT fire from a number of entrenched positions, but mysteriously the Germans seemed to have placed the guns well but forgot to issue any ammo. Despite the terrible waste from the AT Guns failure the Canadians still take losses in both men and material as a MG position near the Ebben Forest and a lone AT Gun in the East get multiple kills. The Allied forces are lucky that the German OBA was also ineffective as their bunched up forces provided a beautiful target which was missed on multiple occasions before the Artillery too ran out of ammunition! With the front line breached in the East the attackers surged through the Kalkar Crossroads area and then into the back lines. By the end of the morning the Germans had lost over 50% of the territory they initially held, but inexplicably the Canadians did not attempt to reduce the German position in the Milk Factory, and thus the Defenders managed to hold the Milk Factory, the Ebben region and the Goch Crossroads.

19th February - PM

Overview:

With the possibility of a German counter-attack in the offing the Canadians are forced to spread their lines all the way across the map, though they were put to work digging masses of foxholes. This means that they had less than optimal numbers for their attacks on the Milk Factory and the Ebben Area. The Ebben attack started off poorly when an AFV and Carrier were Ambushed by a lone crew with a PSK, then they lost the Radio connecting them to a 70mm Module. The Milk Factory attack shaped up well until 120mm German MTR shells ripped through the ranks of the attacking Canadians; it was not until this OBA was silenced by a combined Carrier/Infantry push through the Goch Crossroads region that the Allied attackers were able to thrust into the Milk Factory defences and take the majority of it, though a single defensive position remained by the end of the battle. A German counter-attack with limited aims jumped into the Southern Houses region and despite the odds being on their side luck was not and a sure-fire raid turned into an expensive debacle.
